Community Project: Keeping the Aircraft catalog correct - help wanted!

On Aviatife, it is possible to fly both the planes originally available on MSFS and all the mods and new planes created by other parties.
However, to fly these planes, they have first to be added to the Aircraft catalog (https://aviatife.com/aircraft/list). To add planes to the catalog, the “Add a custom aircraft” function has to be used (https://aviatife.com/aircraft/hub/add) and then later the plane has to be approved by the community in the Moderation hub (https://aviatife.com/aircraft/hub). Planes that get a +5 or more score in the Moderation hub are automatically added to the Aircraft catalog at the end of the month.

Despite having passed the moderation hub, duplicate aircrafts or aircrafts with wrong specifications are sometimes added to the catalog. At other times, the aircraft are added correctly, but they are later changed in the game (by their developers) so it is no longer possible to fly them on Aviatife as their characteristics no longer match the catalog.

The catalog currently contains 136 models, with 16 values each.
Ensuring that all 136 models (and 2000+ values) are correct, plus all the future airplanes that will be added, is a very long task for a single person.

However, if we do it all togheter as a community, this will be much easier.

So I will post here the current Aircraft catalog and all the values.
I encourage everyone to look up an airplane of their choice and find out if the values are correct :slight_smile:

The following values are extracted automatically from MSFS when the plane is added, so their correct value is the one on MSFS (even if it differs from real airplane specifications).

Honda HJet. Max gross Weight is 11,100 - expected 10,600.
Boeing 787-400 Payload stations is 7 - expected 6. (The heavy mod works just fine)

Name - Beechcraft Corporation D18S Twin Beech

Seems the two current entries in the Aircraft Catalog (Beechcraft D18S and Beechcraft D18S N85ET) are not working. Neither one have the current values correct (payload stations, cruise speed, etc).

I have created a fresh import in the Moderation Hub named Beechcraft D18S Twin for approval. I would also suggest deleting the two existing models. Please upvote! :slightly_smiling_face:

Name - Douglas DC-3
Developer - helijah (on Flightsim.to)

The download file is unavailable, and the Developer has a Deleted Account. The last update was 10/13/2022 and there are no votes on compatibility with SU12.

This aircraft seems to be depreciated with no ongoing support. I would think it should be deleted from the catalog. I doubt anyone is still flying it after the Anniversary Edition Microsoft / Aeroplane Heaven freeware release.

The three remaining DC-3 variants have discrepancies in cargo space and passenger capacities (21-32 per wikipedia.org). A Cargo Only version is needed that I will submit in the Moderation Hub. It appears that several other aircraft have Passenger and Cargo versions incorrectly combined.

:thinking: EDIT 4/16/23 - It seems that all the DC-3 variants are broken now. The current Payload Stations value is 11 on all liveries, Aviatife is expecting 9. We really need to find a solution the ever-changing Payload Stations. Any help is appreciated!

I have submitted the “Douglas DC-3 Cargo” and “Douglas DC-3 Passenger” to the Moderation Hub with 11 Payload Stations to make it compatible with the current versions. Please upvote in the Moderation Hub.

DHC-2 Beaver Floats

Please remove the word “Floats” since all 3 variants have 7 Payload Stations and appear to work with this one listing. However, there should be 2 listings, one for passengers and one for cargo.

The passenger one should be 6 passengers, not 7 and 125 cu ft. The cargo one should be 2,100 lbs payload and 300 cu ft.

Cessna T207A Stationair 8 II Cargo 02 - This cargo version has the ability to transport up to 7 people also, is this incorrect? There aren’t any seats in the back.

There are 3 variants to this addon, 1 for cargo, one for passenger transport (with passenger seating) and one for skydiving activities.

PMDG 737-800,
I use this filter to filter tasks. It allows me to accept tasks, but I cannot meet the Expected value of the tasks.
